I will be delighted to create amazing experiences for you in Costa Rica and show you what my beautiful country has to offer. Let’s design together the itinerary of your dreams, let’s make this trip the most memorable of your life.

Itinerary

On arrival in San José, Costa Rica, you will be welcomed at Juan Santamaría International Airport and transferred to the Arenal Volcano area in the Northern Plains region.

Majestic in its grand stature, the volcano is one of the country’s natural wonders. While the volcano is quiet these days and there are no lava eruptions, you can still see clouds of smoke or ash emanating from the top of the cinder cone. The Arenal Volcano region is an exquisite destination for its picturesque landscapes, natural hot springs, and Lake Arenal. Along your journey to the town of La Fortuna, at the base of the volcano, you will see agricultural plantations, large ornamental plant nurseries, and cattle farms.

Accommodation at the hotel of your choice in La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano area.

In the morning, you will enjoy a yoga class where the surrounding nature and yoga practice combine in perfect harmony.

You will follow a hiking trail in Arenal Volcano National Park through varying terrain of primary rainforest and old lava flows in the afternoon. There is a possibility to see diverse wildlife in the park including deer, tapir, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, and birds like parrots, orioles and brown magpies, along with a great variety of vegetation including various species of palms and bromeliads, guayabo de monte, ceiba, bait, cirri, laurel, fungi, higuerones, orchids, and ferns. You will notice how the forest vegetation and terrain have been affected by volcanic activity, including old lava flows.

The Arenal Volcano National Park covers an area of 12,016 ha and is situated within the larger 204,000-ha Arenal Conservation Area protecting 16 reserves between the more Tilarán and Guanacaste mountain ranges. The national park has two volcanoes: the Arenal Volcano (1,633 metres) and the Chato Volcano (1,140-metres). While the Chato Volcano has been inactive for almost 3,500 years and has a collapsed crater with a picture-perfect lagoon, Arenal Volcano is an active volcano and you can still see smoke and cinder blocks billowing from Arenal’s top.

The day will begin with another fantastic yoga class at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will discover the tropical forest's incredible secrets during a hike through Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. You will see the forest from all angles - the tree canopy, intermediate space, and the forest floor. So, you will have an even better opportunity to see more species in this wildlife sanctuary. Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park is located between the edges of two types of forest, highland and lowland, and integrates both of them. Throughout years of evolution, the rainforest lowland flora, migrated upwards and reached a height of 500-600 m, where it encountered and interacted with highland flora.

The park provides the perfect environment for more than 350 species of birds, including high altitude birds such as the bellbird and the Emerald Toucanette, low altitude birds such as toucans more and migratory birds (birds of prey visible between November and February each year). It also has more than 700 species of plants, 120 species of mammals (pumas, jaguars, and tapirs) and 250 species of amphibians and reptiles (frogs, snakes, lizards, etc.). You can see many of them from the hanging bridges.

The owners decided to share the forest sanctuary with the world at the beginnings of the 21st century when they hired a company to oversee the development of the ecotourism project named Los Puentes Colgantes del Arenal (The Arenal Hanging Bridges), which would offer people from around the world the opportunity to admire the forest’s beauty safely and comfortably. Twelve years later, as per the initial agreement, the developing company delivered the project’s operation to its owners, who still manage the reserve to date, through their grandchildren.

Today, your Yoga and Wellness Package in Costa Rica will continue to the Nicoya Peninsula, the country's largest peninsula, located in the Puntarenas province.

Here you will find some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches, ideal for those looking to have some fun in the sun. The gastronomy on offer is broad and diverse, from Costa Rican to Italian, Mexican, Asian, Argentinean, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Santa Teresa is a mixture of many cultures in one place. The beaches surrounding Santa Teresa are also wonderful to visit, especially since they are beautiful and usually less crowded.

In the morning, you will enjoy a guided hike in the Cabo Blanco Biological Reserve, where you will see the tropical forest and its ecosystem. There is the possibility to see howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, ocelots and a wide variety of birds and other animals. It is perfect for those who enjoy birdwatching and love nature. The reserve is located at the most southwestern point on the Nicoya Peninsula on an area of about 12 square kilometres (the sea area measures about 18 square kilometres), close to the village of Montezuma and its beaches. The reserve protects a land overgrown with a mix of deciduous and evergreen tropical forest and is crisscrossed by different hiking trails but right now only the path “Sendero Sueco” (4 km) is open to the public.

In the afternoon, you will have a yoga class that will challenge you physically, besides being an opportunity to increase more self-awareness, knowledge, and joy.

After your yoga class at the hotel in the morning, you will have the rest of the day free to explore the beaches and enjoy the sun and sea.

Santa Teresa’s economy thrives primarily on tourism. There is a long, main street, between the forest and the beach, where you can find hotels and restaurants. Santa Teresa is popular with both tourists and residents due to its spectacular landscapes and nature, and its relaxed, zen vibe. Nightlife is fun with beach parties featuring international DJs mixing electronic music.
