Arrival day and visit of Curtea de Arges – a historic and picturesque town located in the Sub Carpathians hillsBucharest - Curtea de Arges
After your arrival at Bucharest International Henry Coanda Airport, you will travel to Curtea de Arges, 2 h. Expect check in time: 18:00. Curtea de Arges is a historic and picturesque town, located in the Sub Carpathian hills, with the famous Cathedral where all the kings of Romania are buried. You will check in to Posada Hotel 4* (1 night) and then you will enjoy the dinner at the hotel.

You will start the day with a short walking tour in Curtea de Arges and a visit to the world wide famous cathedral. Then, you will depart north towards Sibiu, Transylvania. Driving time is 2 hours, with breathtaking sites of the Carpathian Mountains in the Olt Valley. On the route there will be several stops, including at the 14th Century Cozia Monastery. You will check in to Golden Tulip Hotel 4* (2 nights) in Sibiu. Dinner will be served at the hotel rooftop restaurant.
After breakfast you will have a walking tour in the Old Town in Sibiu. You will continue your journey to Sibiel, worth a stop at Cristian Fortified Saxon church. Next, you will visit Zosim Oancea Painted Icons Museum. You will have lunch in “Casa Andrei” Pension, with folkloric music and dances. You will have free time in the afternoon to enjoy the atmosphere of the Old Town of Sibiu.
In the morning, you will depart for Sighisoara. On the route, you will visit Biertan Cathedral, a unique Gothic monument from the 14th century and the village of Malancrav, authentic, rural, farmers and gipsy village that is under the patronage of HRH Prince Charles Foundation for preserving Transylvanian Heritage.
After another 1-hour drive, you will arrive at one of Europe’s oldest and best-preserved medieval fortresses with more than 300 years old houses still inhabited. You will do a walking tour of the fortress, which includes visiting the House where Vlad Tepes (“Dracula”) lived, followed by lunch. You will check in to Doubletree by Hilton Hotel 4* (1 night), Sighisoara, in Transylvania. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
The day begins by driving towards Bran. On the route, you will have a brief stop at the fortification of Rupea. After 2-hour drive, you will arrive to Bran and visit Bran (Dracula’s) Castle. Bran village is perfect to buy local souvenirs from Romania at very good prices. You will have lunch in Bran at Wolf Restaurant, followed by a stop at Rasnov where you will see the “Peasant’s Citadel” with the new glass funicular elevator. You will check in to Aro Palace Hotel 5* (1 night), in the city center of Brasov after which you will have dinner at “Cerbul Carpatin” with folkloric music and dances.
You will start the journey with a half day city tour, visiting the Palace of Parliament, (1,5 h guided tour), the Christian Orthodox Church of the Patriarchy, the Unknown soldiers grave in the Carol Park. You will travel north, visit the Ceausescu Family Residence “Spring Palace” and open air Village Museum with 200-year-old wooden houses. In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner in “Caru cu Bere” restaurant, Old Town of Bucharest.
